  • 💻 Senior / Staff DevOps & Cloud
  • ☁️ AWS · Azure · IaC · CI/CD
  • 🧑‍🏫 8 yrs teaching CS (AP · IB)
  • 📖 Author, “Terraform to Bicep”
  • ⚙️ Creator of Termpolis

I’m a Senior and Staff-level DevOps and Cloud Engineer with an unusual path: eight years teaching Computer Science, eight years building software, and — since 2018 — designing and running cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. I never really stopped teaching; these days it’s engineers, through DevOps coaching, a book on Azure infrastructure as code, and the tools I build.

About

Two decades between building software and teaching it.

I’m a Senior and Staff-level DevOps and Cloud Engineer whose career bridges two worlds that rarely meet: the classroom and the cloud. I spent eight years teaching AP and IB Computer Science in secondary school and programming at the community-college level, then eight years as a Senior Software Engineer across the public and private sectors.

In 2018 I moved fully into DevOps and Cloud Engineering. Today I architect infrastructure on AWS and Azure, write infrastructure as code, and build the CI/CD pipelines teams ship on. That teaching instinct never left — as a Senior DevOps Engineer and DevOps coach at Assurant, I help professionals across the company adopt cloud, IaC, and CI/CD. I’m the author of Terraform to Bicep and the creator of Termpolis.
